About Dalmatia

    Dalmatia is a region on the eastern coast of Adriatic Sea. It is recognized for its beautiful bays, secluded beaches and unique islands. Dalmatian coast is also known for its warm sea, beautiful islands and many sunny pleasant days.
The highest number of sunny days on some of the islands and along the deep southern coast number as many as 315 a year. During summers all the visitors are pleased with hot and sunny weather with average around 30ºC.

     

Tourist destination

    Historical heritage and monuments of culture are a part of the global heritage protected by UNESCO in the cities of Trogir, Split, Šibenik and Dubrovnik. They are stunning, timeless medieval towns with wide coastal boulevards, marble fountains, monasteries, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. Dalmatian coast is proud to have amazing towns of Omis, Makarska, Vodice, Baska Voda and others which are among the most popular travel destinations in Croatia. Cuisine

    Every place has its unique cuisine and specialties. Dalmatia reveals itself with a table full of tasty, healthy and simple dishes. It is a combination of the best of Mediterranean culinary art and a traditional of gastronomic heritage.
Here you will find various kinds of fish, shellfish, octopus, squid, salted and fresh olives, green leafy vegetables, wild plants and aromatic herbs, figs and grapes, honey, raisins and citrus fruits. Dalmatian hams, dry-cured in the north-easterly Bora wind and served with sheep's milk cheese or lamb prepared under a bakers lid on an open fire is a real treat.
And not to forget the wine! Red and white wines will surprise you with their unique taste.
